Ed & Amanda Underwood,

        CR Ministers

Ed and Amanda have been married for 24 years and have 3 children. The Underwood's have grown up in the Johnson and Henry County area and have been attending Allen Street Baptist Church for 4 plus years. Since attending ASBC they have served in several different capacities. For nearly 4 years Ed and Amanda have been working in the Celebrate Recovery ministry. Two (2) years ago, Ed felt a call of God on his life to full time ministry and has since come forward to the church for their support. Amanda is currently the Missouri State Representative for Celebrate Recovery.

Ed is a full time employee for Stahl Specialty Company and is in charge of the X-ray department. Amanda is a full time employee as a Health Specialist/RN.

Of the three children, Erin is the oldest and recently graduated from UCM in Warrensburg where she majored in Child Psychology. She is employed with Royal Oaks.  She is also a Sunday school teacher for 4th and 5th grade. She is the teacher for the Cubbies for AWANA and finally she is the leader for childcare on Friday nights during Celebrate Recovery.

The “middle” child is Matt. Matt just graduated from High school and is working at Headstart Daycare. Matt enjoys working with children. He is planning to further his education in electronics. Matt plays the bass guitar and is back-up singer for the band "By Grace", which is a Christian Band that leads in worship weekly at Strike Zone Youth Ministry as well as concerts and worship services within the community. Matt also runs the sound system and assists with childcare for Celebrate Recovery on Friday nights.

Amy is the youngest and is in the 6th grade at Leeton. Amy has received an award for excelling in math for 2 years in a row during the state MAP testing as well as being an honor roll student. Amy loves to sing and help care for other children.  Amy is also the President of her class at school.
