CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

If you’re looking for the premier program to change kids’ lives,

you’ve come to the right place!

Wednesday Nights:  AWANA is the leading ministry to help local churches

reach children for Christ.

Sunday Mornings:  252 Basics and First Look are the best

children’s church and group learning you will find.

AWANA blends Bible teaching, Scripture memorization and tons of fun. ABC's AWANA ministry will impact kids, families and our entire community!  We meet on Wednesday from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM and currently have between 50 - 75 kids join us each week.  AWANA curriculum is age-appropriate and separated into the following groups:

Ages 3-5 - Cubbies - Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

K - 2nd Grade - Sparks - The aim of the curriculum is to take youngsters a step deeper into God’s Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ.

3rd - 6th Grade - Truth in Telling (TNT) - The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach third- through sixth-grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives.

If you would like more information, please contact the church office at 885-2127 or contact Sandy Swanagon at 885-8734. If no one is there, leave a message.

252/First Look is an exciting approach to help provoke children to discover new ways to to grow in their relationship with each other, with God and to see how big our world is and the story they play in it.  It helps to incite wonder as they begin to understand the plan that God has for them and for their world.

252 Basics is geared for children kindergarten through 5th grade.  First Look is specifically designed for children birth-5 years of age.  Even the nursery is getting involved in learning.  The children 2 years of age and up will begin with a large group time of exciting worship and discovery before going to age specific smaller groups where they will learn more about themselves and their relationship with Christ, do activities and have more fun.

Children’ Pastor Travis Lurten says:  252 and First Look understand that kids are in a state of discovery.  Just think about all the different things they are trying for the first time, almost on a daily basis.  Think about learning how to be a better friend.  These are at the core of beginning to understand how God fits into their world.

252 Basic and First Look both meet on Sunday mornings:  8:45 and again at 10:15 a.m. They coincide with our morning worship services in the main building.

You may check your children in through the double doors of the ABC annex: Strike Zone Student and Children’s Ministry Building.
